Ja Rule Says Karrine Steffans Went From Party Girl To Hermit

Ja Rule criticizes Karrine Steffans for making a dollar off of someone else's pain.

As one of the numerous musicians featured in Karrine Steffans’ first memoir, “Confessions Of A Video Vixen,” Ja Rule was recently asked what his thoughts are on the self-proclaimed video vixen releasing yet another book.

In response, the Queens, New York rapper questioned why someone would involve themselves with Steffans given the type of content featured in Steffans’ first few memoirs and the fact that she’s making a dollar off of someone else’s pain.

“Niggas like playing with fire, man,” Ja Rule said during an interview with Vlad TV. “Like a little kid. You tell ‘em ‘Listen, that right there. Hot. Don’t touch. It’s hot.’ And the little kid what he do? He said ‘Ahhh!’ And burned his mothafuckin hand up. It’s the same shit. Mothafuckas like playing with fire, man…I really don’t get it. And she’s old as shit now. You know what I’m saying? She’s not even the young vixen or whatever she calls herself that she used to be. She’s an old broad. It’s a lot of women out there that’s not thinking like she’s thinking. To try to gain a dollar off of your pain or your story. I don’t get it.”

Ja Rule later recalled seeing Steffans once following the release of “Confessions Of A Video Vixen.” He revealed that following the release of her first book, Steffans went from party girl to hermit.

“I think I seen her one time,” he said. “She pretty much became a hermit after the book came out. She doesn’t go—She used to be out and about. She was a party girl before that. She used to be everywhere. After she did the book you don’t see her no more. She doesn’t go out. If that’s what a couple of dollars means to you then that’s cool. I couldn’t live my life like that. I would—That’s not living. Have money and fame or whatever and not be able to go out and enjoy yourself? That’s not cool.”

During an interview with The Breakfast Club in September of last year, Ja Rule jokingly referred to the mentions of him in Steffans’ book as “lies” and also added that she recanted some of what was said in her book.

“Damn her! Damn those lies. She recently came forward and kind of recanted her statement about some of the things she said in her book,” the rapper said, according to Eurweb.com.

And during an interview with The Breakfast Club just months ago, Ja Rule recalled Steffans being passed around as a gift to radio deejays and program directors. The New York City wordsmith, who says he didn't have sexual relations with Steffans, also added that the video vixen-turned-author “prostituted herself for Murda Inc."
