Hillary Clinton shows the world her support for Barack Obama.
Despite a long-winded battle to become the country?s democratic presidential nominee, New York Senator Hillary Clinton finally bowed out from the race gracefully. On Aug 26, Clinton delivered a heartfelt speech in Denver, Colo. to let the world know that Barack Obama should be The United States? next president.
Blazin Streetz "Whether you voted for me, or voted for Barack, the time is now to unite as a single party with a single purpose," said Clinton, who promised to help Obama get into The White House. ?We are on the same team, and none of us can sit on the sidelines."
A stylish Clinton signature was waved proudly on countless signs in the crowd gathered at Denver?s Democratic National Convention. The previous presidential hopeful reminisced about people she met on her campaign trail, and her run-ins with Obama and Michelle.
"You taught me so much, you made me laugh and ... you even made me cry,? Clinton said of her former opponent, while Obama watched from a television screen in Montana. ?You allowed me to become part of your lives, and you became part of mine."
Aside from praising Obama and attempting to unite the Democratic party, Clinton made bold statements to sway any John McCain supporters. She called the Arizona Senator a twin of President Bush and said he would promote more war and economic stagnation with less health care and diplomacy.
"Now John McCain is my colleague and my friend. He has served our country with honor and courage,? Clinton said. ?But we don't need four more years, of the last eight years."
Bill Clinton will follow up his wife and speak at the Convention on Aug 27, after a well publicized verbal battle with Obama.
