Eminem "One Of The Greatest," Says Paul Rosenberg

DJ Whoo Kid says a Shady Records mixtape with over 60 records will be released in the near future.

While appearing on the Rap Radar Shady XV podcast, Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg doted on the Detroit, Michigan rapper. He called Em “one of the greatest” at what he does and added that his delivery, wordplay, and performance skills have yet to be topped.

“I think that he’s definitely one of the greatest, if not the greatest,” Rosenberg said. “A lot of people do different things the best. Like he’s the best at that…I don’t think anybody’s better at it than him in doing it on a level that he does it. I mean, there’s probably people who say ‘Aw nah, this guy or that guy.’ But for me, the combination of how he delivers it. The wordplay involved. The performance. I don’t see anybody that can do that.”

Rosenberg also spoke on his contributions to the newly-released, “Shady CXVPHER.” He says it was an idea he helped implement after someone suggested that everyone who has ever been signed to Shady Records appear on a cypher together.

Rosenberg explained that that option would have left them with “too many people” and a cypher much longer than the 15 minutes he had originally hoped for.

“Well, somebody actually came up with this thing and said ‘Why don’t you get all the guys on the label to do a freestyle,’” he said. “And everybody that’s been on the label and that to me was a little too much. Cause it would have been too many people. So, to even have this thing be 18 minutes—I wanted it to be 15 minutes, but people rapped a little longer…It tends to happen. So, I was cool with it. Especially since everybody did have—how well they did. So, then I sort of took that idea and said ‘Okay, how do we make this something that will work?’”

Rosenberg was also joined by DJ Whoo Kid during the podcast interview. Whoo Kid went on to discuss an upcoming mixtape from Shady Records, which could consist of 66 records and will feature ShadyXV leftovers.

“You guys gave me 130 records,” DJ Whoo Kid said, according to HotNewHipHop.com. “Physically, you can’t fit all of them on 80-minute CDs, so we had to do a double disc…Well there's like 66 [tracks], 3 hours [of music]."

"We figured since there's gunna be so many people that are saying why didn't this song make it, why didn't that song make it, we'll just do something to please everybody," Rosenberg said.

The currently-untitled mixtape will likely be released sometime before the ShadyXV album, which is scheduled for release on November 24.
