Robert Kondrk (Vice President of iTunes Content) has reportedly emphasized that artists who choose to premiere content on TIDAL will not be highlighted on iTunes.

On Sunday (April 26) Jay Z unexpectedly took to Twitter to share a series of #TidalFacts. The rare move may have been directly in response to several of TIDAL's rivals interfering with its progress.

According to Page Six, numerous music industry sources have come forward alleging that Apple is indeed tampering with TIDAL.

The celebrity news site states one of the reasons TIDAL may have fallen out of the iPhone top 700 apps is because Apple "deliberately took a long time to approve TIDAL iOS app updates. TIDAL had a new app. on Adroid on April 15, but still hasn't received approval for Apple's iOS app store."

iTunes executives such as Robert Kondrk (Vice President of iTunes Content) has reportedly emphasized that artists who choose to premiere content on TIDAL will not be highlighted on iTunes.

“Robert told execs at Universal Music Group that Rihanna and other TIDAL artists’ music would not be promoted as featured artists on iTunes if they put exclusive music out on Tidal," a source said.

Another source confirmed Kondrk’s statement and clarified that the procedure is "normal."

"If an artist chooses to market content exclusively with another rival retailer, no company is going to market or push content from that artist that hard," the source said.
