Felony cocaine charge for Coolio

Rapper Coolio has pled guilty today to one felony count of possession of cocaine.
Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey, will enter an 18-month drug rehab program called Deferred Entry of Judgment. If Ivey successfully completes the program, he can request that the judge dismiss his case at the end of a year and a half.
Coolio was arrested March 6 at Los Angeles International Airport after cops searched his luggage and found drugs. A misdemeanor battery charge and one misdemeanor count of possession of a smoking device were dismissed in exchange of Coolio's plea.
Mr. "Fantastic Voyage" is scheduled to return to L.A. Superior Court on September 28 for a progress report.
