Skullcandy x Air Jordan 9 "For the Love of the Game" Pack

In what would of been a perfect collaboration 10 to 15 years ago, Jordan Brand teamed up with Skullcandy for a rather embarrassing pack. Running off their “For the Love of the Game” Collection, Jordan Brand produced 23 limited edition packs which have the Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game” packaged in a big black box alongside a pair of University Blue headphones and a CD Player. Considering it’s 2010 and we’re now in the age of MP3 players and Ipod’s, it baffles us as to why this pack was allowed off the production line with anything but that. Does anybody even use a CD Player anymore? The headphones, which may sound great, are also a blast from the past with their graffiti, 90’s style graphics on the headband. Quite honestly, in my opinion the nicest part of this whole box set is the actual box.

For those of you who can dig it regardless of the throwback accessories, The Skullcandy x Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game” box set will become available sometime this week at Atmos NYC and House of Hoops in Harlem. An exact date has not been reported but with the sneakers themselves hitting retailers tomorrow, it might be safe to say that these could surface as well. No official price has been listed but how much more can Jordan Brand be expecting people to pay for the additional products which top out together at no more then $50 (not including the box)?
