Game Refused Entry Into Canada and Detained By Officials

By: allhiphop.comPosted On: 04/21/2011 9:08 A

Compton, California rapper The Game was barred from entering into Canada to perform yesterday (April 20th).

The rapper was detained for three hours after arriving at the border, and will be stuck there until a review hearing with the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) within the next 48 hours.

While no official reason was given, Game's criminal record is most likely what prevented him from entering, since he hasn't been allowed into the country since the release of his first album, The Documentary.

Game has had several run-ins with the law for a variety of reasons, including a 2007 incident in which the rapper assaulted and threatened a man with a gun during a pickup game of basketball.

The rapper took to Twitter and revealed that he would be held for the next few days, while he is processed and sent back home to Los Angeles.

"Customs officials just denied me entry into Canada," Game Tweeted yesterday, saying that promoters lead him to believe that he would be able to enter Canada.

I'm being detained in Canada for 14 days until they process my inadmissibility then I'll have a hearing heard by a judge. At that point the judge will decide to either deport me or give me a sentence for violating Canada's immigrant entry laws. F%cked up situation !!! But at least they let me call home, & tweet before they lock a n!gga up !!! Gotta turn in my property, y'all be kool."

Game is still being detained by Canadian officials at press time.
