By: hiphopdx.comPosted On: 06/23/2011 8:28 A

Rosemond pleaded not guilty to drug charges and is currently being held without bond.

On the run from police for the past month, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond was arrested early today by DEA agents in connection with heading a cocaine trafficking ring that operated bi-coastally.

According to the NY Post, the 46-year-old was found leaving the W Hotel in New York City’s Union Square. He tried to outrun agents before he was finally arrested on 21st Street and Park Ave. South.

The media mogul, who manages Akon and Brandy, will be arraigned later today in Brooklyn Federal Court. Two informants who were "high-ranking members of Rosemond’s organization" aided the probe, which investigated his involvement in shipping hundreds of kilos of cocaine from the West Coast to New York.

UPDATE: According to the Wall Street Journal, Rosemond has pleaded "not guilty to intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, witness tampering and obstruction of justice." He is currently being held without bond.

"This indictment was built on the backs of witnesses that have been threatened and bribed by federal prosecutors," said his lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman. "And I plan to expose all of it. If the government wants a fight, they’re going to get a fight."
