Kevin Liles, Execs End Black Music Month With New Media Panel

A number of top executives will gather in New York City tonight (June 30th), during Interpublic's BEN (Black Employee Network) event titled "Leveraging Black Music in The New Media Marketplace."

Seasoned music industry veteran Kevin Liles, who held top positions at Def Jam and Warner Music Group, will give the keynote address during the event, which takes place at Time, Inc. In New York.

"Interpublic’s Black Employee Network, like all of our BRGs (Business Resource Groups), hosts a number of educational, provocative events throughout the year," said Heide Gardner, SVP, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Interpublic.  

"Our BRGs are part of a comprehensive and systemic program at IPG to encourage as inclusive a workplace as possible. We are especially excited about this event," Gardner said.

A panel discussion will take place after Liles' keynote address, that will be hosted by Nicole Kramer, as VP of McCann worldwide.

Panelists during the discussion include Chris Atlas, SVP of Marketing for Def Jam, Andy Cohen, EVP, of Fader Media, Denise Harrell, Account Manager, BET Digital Ad Sales, Asten Morgan Jr. Director of National Sales for the Vibe Lifestyle Network, Nigel Goodman, Jason Hall and Colin Kim of R/GA.

The "Leveraging Black Music in the New Media Marketplace," panel discussion takes place tonight from 6:00-9:00PM.
