Akon Supports T-Pain's Decision To Join Young Money

Akon says he has no ill feelings about T-Pain's move to Young Money, adds that they are brothers and voices his support for Pain.

Fans who have enjoyed the T-Pain and Akon collaborations may be in for some change as Pain has moved on to Young Money's camp. The decision comes after years of collaborating with Akon as part of Konvict Muzik, where they released cuts like 2007's "Bartender."

The Young Money move may not be a surprise to some, concidering Pain's collaborative work with Lil Wayne. Together, the two formed T-Wayne and have released singles together in the past, including 2008's "Can't Believe It."

During a recent interview with VladTV, Akon spoke about his partner's switch to Young Money, saying he harbors no ill feelings toward the move. In fact, Akon reiterated his support for Pain in the transition, saying they are like brothers to one another.

"That's Pain's business decision. We've got one more album on Paine, which is the one he's about to release now. After that, Pain is free, man. He's his own man, he's his own entrepreneur and decisions from this point, he has to make on his own. I'm happy for him. Whichever way he goes, that's my little brother, he gets the support from us. That's my brother and it is what it is, you know what I'm sayin'?"
