Former Three 6 Mafia group member Crunchy Black has launched a new record label.

After years of laying low, Crunchy Black is preparing to tell his story about life with and after being a part of legendary Memphis, Tennessee rap group Three 6 Mafia.

The rapper has formed Hard Hittaz Money Gang, which has several artists signed to the label.

Crunchy recently struck a deal with Strukk World Entertainment, which will oversee the marketing, distribution and promotion of the product.

Crunchy Black, known for his "gangsta walk" dance, left Three 6 Mafia in May of 2006, after years with the group.

He was on stage with Three 6 when they performed at the 2006 Oscar Awards, where their song "Hard Out Here for a Pimp" won Best Song Award.

According to reps for Crunchy, he is living a new, clear, "stress free" lifestyle.

Details about Crunchy Black's upcoming release were not available as of press time.
