Times change and the way we buy music tends to change too. Now, Apple and four of the largest record companies are joining forces in hopes of changing the way people purchase their music online.

The Financial Times recently reported that this unification was created to to improve the way music is packaged online in order to make more people buy albums through the net.

Customers will now be able to purchase a package that will include lyric sheets, liner notes and photographs. FT also reports that this will allow fans "to play songs directly from the interactive book without clicking back into Apple's iTunes software."

According to CNET, record labels are putting together their own versions of this to provide Amazon and other sellers with a similar product.

Apple and the labels will release their versions in the Fall.
