Mac Miller takes to Twitter to address Donald Trump's series of messages threatening to sue him.

Mac Miller has responded to Donald Trump's legal threats against him for using his name for the gold-certified track "Donald Trump."

Yesterday, the business mogul took to Twitter to go against previous statements praising the rapper for naming the song after him. Trump threatened him with legal action and is yet to follow up on his tweets.

Now, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania emcee has broken his silence on the matter, taking to the social networking site to address the messages. "[I]'m not trying to put any negative energy into the world. @realdonaldtrump let's be friends," he wrote.

Miller, who released his debut album Blue Slide Park in late 2011, recently settled a $10 million lawsuit with Lord Finesse over copyright infringement.
