Wyclef Jean has announced the release of his upcoming mixtape April Showers, dropping this Spring.
For the project, the Fugees member enlists a handful of guests including 2 Chainz, T.I., Waka Flocka Flame, Trae Tha Truth and Uncle Murda. 'Clef already released the project's first track "Hip Hop" a few weeks ago.
"The reaction I've been getting from the song 'Hip Hop' has made me realize just how badly the fans want music that can evoke certain types of emotion,” said Clef. “With April Showers, I am going to show you where I feel the evolution and future of music is going. From this body of work you can expect a futuristic sonic eclectic sound.”
Jean recently released his autobiography Purpose: An Immigrant's Story, which detailed his relationship with Lauryn Hill and how it affected the Fugees.
