Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce make a move to sign with Warner/Chappell Music.

Jay-Z and Beyonce continue to make major moves in the music industry with recent deals poised to directly affect the future of their respective music catalogues.

Earlier in the week, Hov became first to sign an exclusive publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. As part of the publishing deal, Warner/Chappell Music will administer the rights to all recordings from both Jay-Z and Roc Nation.

The Roc Nation helmsman spoke briefly on his new deal in a statement and also applauded Jon Platt, the new President Creative of Warner/Chappell Music.

"The real meaning of success is being in the position to work with an individual you consider a friend," said Jay-Z. "Jon Platt is such a person. He's a man of extraordinary character as well as a remarkably talented executive with an ear for music and an eye for talent. It's great to watch him grow to be one the best in the business."

Yesterday, Beyonce announced her signing a global administration deal with Warner/Chappell Publishing, which will administer her future songwriting including her upcoming fifth studio album.

"It's an honor to join Warner/Chappell Music and to continue working with my friend Jon Platt," Beyonce told Billboard. "I trust his vision and admire his professionalism, and I look forward to our partnership."

Beyonce is prepping her upcoming "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," which kicks off in April, while Jay-Z is teaming up with Justin Timberlake for the "Legends of the Summer" tour.
