Kelly Rowland discusses the Keyshia Cole beef with Beyonce, "Bow Down," the producers she's been working with for her upcoming album and more.

Kelly Rowland has definitely stepped out of Beyonce's shadow from the Destiny's Child days. The singer has proven herself as a solo r'n'b artist, and is prepping a new album for the summer, Talk A Good Game. She already released the single "Kisses Down Low," and this morning she payed a visit to The Breakfast Club to discuss the single, as well as the beef with Keyshia Cole, Beyonce's "Bow Down" record, a Destiny's Child reunion and more.

Fellow female singer, Keyshia Cole, has been hating on Destiny's Child, in particular Michelle and Beyonce. After their Superbowl half-time show Keyshia blasted Michelle for apparently messing up the trio's performance. Following that, Keyshia once more took shots at Bey for her "Bow Down/I Been On" song. 

Kelly appears to be giving no thought to Ms. Cole's comments, telling The Breakfast Club, "You know what, do you have to hit somebody or give somebody words? I think the silence is the best power, 'cause you don't have to say nothing, they did all the talking. Just talk, keep talking." Kelly said, "But I don't think it's important to fire back cause you fueling the fire. You don't have to do that. It's ridiculous, we too grown for that stuff."

On whether or not a new Destiny's Child album is on the way, Kelly first said, "That's actually a surprise." She added, before listing all the projects each individual singer has coming up, "I dunno if it's an album. We haven't talked about an album, we haven't talked about a tour."

Finally, Kelly gave her thoughts on Beyonce's polarizing "Bow Down" track. "I do like the 'Bow Down' record. I think that when you just understand who you are as a woman, you can accept the record," Kelly said. "People gunna talk, who cares, who gives a crap. You're an artist, you're allowed to try out different things, see what you wanna do, see if it works or not."

Kelly says about her upcoming album that she doesn't want to promise Talk A Good Game will drop on June 4th, but it will arrive in the summer. The singer also lists some of Toronto producers she's been working with to help create her r'n'b sound, such as T-Minus and Boi-1da, as well as The-Dream and Pharrell.
