Jay-Z and Shyne may connect with label deal

It's been a minute since we heard from controversial rapper Shyne. When he debuted back in 2000 with his single "Bad Boyz," it was thought that the Brooklyn rapper had some potential, especially with P. Diddy at the healm of his career. Those thoughts quickly turned sour after the infamous court case he had with Diddy. Mr. Combs got off while Shyne was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Well, all of the talk of Shyne's release date seems to have gotten the attention of Mr. Bossman Jay-Z himself. All Hip Hop reported that Jigga went out to Rikers Island on Friday to have a meeting with Shyne. Jigga and the former Bad Boy protege are rumoured to have discussed a possible deal with Roc Nation.
If the rumor is true and Shyne signs with Roc Nation, you can bet that one of his main goals will be to go hard at P. Diddy, who he said betrayed him. The self-proclaimed "Godfather" is reported working on a new album, Godfather Exhumed which is actually scheduled for a 2009 release.
