Lauryn Hill's landlord has filed an eviction lawsuit against the singer, after she stopped paying her rent last month.
Lauryn Hill definitely has her fair share of problems at the moment. The Grammy Award winner is facing several years in prison for pleading guilty to tax evasion, and now she will also have to deal with an eviction lawsuit, for not paying her rent for her New Jersey home.
TMZ reports that Lauryn has been renting a home in South Orange, New Jersey since 2009. Apparently she stopped paying the rent last month, and so her landlord went straight to court and filed a legal ultimatum, saying either Lauryn pays or she gets out.
The r'n'b singer has yet to pay, and so the landlord is going ahead with an eviction lawsuit. We'll have to see how this pans out alongside Lauryn's tax fraud sentencing.
