Flavor Flav's Felony Assault & Child Endangerment Trial Date Scheduled

By: hotnewhiphop.comPosted On: 05/08/2013 1:58 P

Flavor Flav will stand trial on felony charges of assault and child endangerment in September.

Flavor Flav was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend's teenage son in October, after chasing him with a butcher's knife and threatening him. An argument the rapper was having with his fiancé escalated quickly after she accused Flav of being unfaithful.

Last we heard, Flav was going to stand trial on two felony charges, including, not only the threats against his fiancé's son, but also for pushing the girlfriend to the floor. Now a Las Vegas judge has scheduled the Public Enemy rapper's trial for the former charges in September, as Billboard reports.

The case is scheduled for the 30th of September in Clark County District Court. If Flav is convicted, he could face up to twelve years in prison.

Flav pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Nevada state court to charges of felony assault with a weapon and child endangerment, which stemmed from the family's argument that took place in October. Previously, after hearing the teenage son testify, a judge ruled that there was enough evidence for Flav to stand trial in court.

We'll update you once the court proceedings begin.
