Chance The Rapper talks about how taking the drug acid affected his creative process in making "Acid Rap".

 Rising Chicago emcee, Chance The Rapper, had a major break through recently with the release of his new mixtape Acid Rap. And I'm sure many people have asked themselves what's the correlation between the mixtape's title, and the actual drug itself? Well, in a recent interview with MTV News, Chance talks about how taking acid played a role in the creative process for the mixtape.

During his sit-down interview, Chance admitted that acid isn't a major part of his everyday lifestyle, but that it definitely was involved in the making of his new project. Chance said,

"[There] was a lot of acid involved in Acid Rap."I mean, it wasn't too much — I'd say it was about 30 to 40 percent acid ... more so 30 percent acid."

Chance then went on to talk about the difficulty in rapping while under the influence of the drug. He added,

"No, it's not hard to rap on acid," he explained. "But it wasn't the biggest component at all. It was something that I was really interested in for a long time during the making of the tape, but it's not necessarily a huge faction at all
