The Queens rapper wants to test material from his forthcoming "P.T.S.D." project in front of fans.
Pharoahe Monch is set to embark upon his first West Coast tour since 2011’s WAR Tour. The Queens rapper is putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) project and wanted to perform some of the new material on a Pre-P.T.S.D. tour.
“I really need feedback from the people to make sure I’m in tune with the hardcore Pharoahe fans,” says Pharoahe, who toured Singapore and Australia last month. "No better way to do that than to play live."
P.T.S.D. is due from the rapper's own W.A.R. Media label in late summer 2013. It includes the single "Damage," which was released in September 2012 and addressed the issue of gun violence. A video for subsequent single "Scream" will be available in a few weeks.
P.T.S.D. is the follow-up to 2011's W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) album, which included the singles "Clap (One Day" and "Haile Selassie Karate."
