Tyler, The Creator Clowns J-Kwon Over "Pushing The Odds" Diss

The Odd Future member blasts J-Kwon on Twitter after the St. Louis rapper releases a diss track, which also targets Pusha T.

Tyler, The Creator has responded to J-Kwon's "Pushing The Odds (Pusha T & Odd Future Diss)." The Odd Future member took to Twitter to address the St. Louis rapper's song, which was released a month ago, as per his SoundCloud account.

J-Kwon emerged in 2004 with the hit single "Tipsy" and the album Hood Hop. Released on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def imprint through Arista Records, Hood Hop also scored a minor hit with the title track. J-Kwon's "Pushing The Odds" may be a result of Odd Future mentioning him on the posse cut "Rella." In between Tyler, The Creator's verses on The OF Tape Vol. 2 cut, J-Kwon is mentioned: "You ain't got no fuckin' Yeezy? / five albums, 100 songs, and you ain't got no fuckin' Yeezy? / I betchu got some J-Kwon / You ain't got no fuckin Yeezy?"

As for Pusha T, he references J-Kwon on "Only You Can Tell It," a cut from his "Wrath Of Caine" mixtape, which was released in January. There, the Virginia rapper says, "I'm gridnin' nigga, you J-Kwon."

J-Kwon released both Hood Hop 2 and Hood Hop 2.5 in 2009. In 2010, representatives from J-Kwon's label, Gracie Productions, said they had not been able to reach the rapper for more than a month. Soon thereafter, Dorian Washington, Gracie's CEO, said that he had spoken to J-Kwon, whom he said was just "taking some time to himself as he sometimes does."
