Tiffany Foxx Has Nothing Against Nicki Minaj

Exclusive: Tiffany Foxx also talks about working closely with Lil' Kim, her respect for Nicki Minaj and shooting a music video with Miley Cyrus.

When Tiffany Foxx aligned herself with Lil' Kim, she found herself in the middle of Lil' Kim's beef with Nicki Minaj. Foxx, though, was able to maintain a respect for Minaj despite her mentor's differences with the YMCMB rapper.

“I’ve definitely been in the line of fire when it comes to that situation, but what I will say is I have nothing against Nicki," Foxx says in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. "I think her work ethic is crazy. I see that she is a talented girl. She hasn’t done anything hurtful towards me. At this point, Kim is over it. She doesn’t entertain any of it. She’s buried it. I’m not gonna attach that beef to my back. That’s not who I am.”

Kim spoke out against Nicki Minaj in 2012 because of a partnership that Kim says had gone awry between Kim and Cash Money. In an interview with New York radio station Power 105, Kim said, “It’s deeper than that. Me and [Cash Money co-owner] Slim were friends for four years, and we decided we were going to do business together.”

According to Kim, Cash Money was studying Kim’s flow to use “her swag” and soon Minaj appeared to get “slick about her on her records.” Now, Foxx says to HipHopDX that the feud is over.

Foxx, who released her Goal Diggers mixtape last month, and Kim appeared together in 2012 on the song "Jay-Z," which pays homage to the Brooklyn-born entrepreneur. The St. Louis rapper describes her relationship with Kim as “a very personal sisterhood. We’re a family type situation. I thought it would be cut and dry, but it’s not like that at all. She is a sweetheart and a perfectionist. I’m learning a lot from her.”

Through her relationship with Kim, Foxx had the opportunity to feature pop star Miley Cyrus in the video for her single “Twisted,” which was released in March. Foxx says she was surprised that Cyrus was able to appear in the video. "I was like, 'This is really happening…,’" she says. "It was definitely an honor to have her there."
