Kevin Durant Says Signing With Jay-Z Was A "No Risk" Move

Kevin Durant says during an interview with "SportsCenter" that teaming with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports was a "perfect move" given Jay-Z's business acumen.
Jay-Z became a licensed NBA agent last month. Jigga's first National Basketball Association client at Roc Nation Sports is already touting the mogul's business acumen.
Kevin Durant, the star forward of the Oklahoma City Thunder, says that he viewed the move to Jay-Z and Roc Nation Sports for his representation as a prudent choice. "It just seemed like a perfect move to me, something that there’s no risk in doing," Durant says during a "SportsCenter" interview. "Jay-Z is a guy that's well-respected in the business area, a guy that has done so well for himself and his brand. I’m looking forward to partnering with him and learning as much as I can from him."
Durant announced his signing to to Roc Nation Sports June 24 and posted a photo on his Instagram account of Jay-Z signing a contract as he looked on.
"Grateful for this opportunity with Roc Nation Sports," Kevin Durant wrote on his Instagram account. "It’s go time.”
Durant is the first NBA player to sign to Roc Nation Sports. He follows New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano and Tulsa Shock guard Skylar Diggins to Jay-Z's sports agency. The Shock is an WNBA franchise.
