Adrian Younge explains how Timbaland got the track and why he believes he used it.

Musician Adrian Younge has been gaining in popularity recently after his work with Ghostface Killah on Twelve Reasons to Die. It's been gaining so much so that his music recently appeared on Jay-Z's latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Speaking with Out Da Box Radio recently, Younge detailed how Timbaland even got the sample to use it on Jay-Z's twelfth studio album.

"One of my mans at Wax Poetics was building with their camp, my man Hip Hop and he forwarded it to Timbaland and Timbaland dug it and just flipped it and Jay-Z liked it," Younge explained. "It was just kind of natural like that."

The Los Angeles-based music producer/composer/arranger also said he intended that his sample from the song "Picasso" be used by a big time artist.

"That song on the Jay-Z album, on the Magna Carta album is called 'Picasso,'" he said. "I made that song hoping someone like a Jay-Z would flip that and it just kind of happened so, I kind of lucked out.
