When history is written, the summer of 2009 will be seen as a
pivotal moment in American History. A newly elected and seemingly
popular president was running roughshod over American ideals of liberty
and limited government.
The opposition to his policies was weak and diffuse. Indeed one wondered if the Republican Party even had the inclination to carry out their duty, to oppose these disastrous policies, in the first place.
