Rick Ross Says He's "Still Angry" About George Zimmerman Verdict

Rick Ross says that he is "really, really enraged" by the shooting of Trayvon Martin and the George Zimmerman verdict. He says "something has to happen and it will."
Rick Ross recently said that he is "still angry" about the George Zimmerman verdict. The Florida rapper also said that "something has to happen and it will," in an interview with Global Grind.
"I'm still angry," Ross said. "I'm upset and really, really enraged. I've just been trying to keep from putting too much negative energy out there. So, you know, we're just doing our thing behind our closed doors. But most definitely, that's a big problem and something has to happen and it will."
Ross' comments follow the release of his song “I Wonder Why.” The selection addresses the "Stand Your Ground" law and features lyrics likely inspired by the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed in February 2012 by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Zimmerman was found not guilty of second degree murder and manslaughter in July 2013.
“Now I'm being followed by some creepy-ass cracker," Ross says on "I Wonder Why," likely inspired by reports that Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, followed Martin on the night of the shooting. "Stand your ground, you gotta stand your ground,” Ross says.
T.I. recently made headlines when he also spoke about the Zimmerman verdict.
“I’d have been on trial," T.I. said in a report published yesterday (July 30). "It would’ve been the trial of the father who killed the man who killed [his child]. That would have been my story. My hat goes off because they [the Martin family] are much more clear and level-headed thinkers than I. I definitely think something needs to be done, but it’s just another harsh reminder of the world that we live in.”
