Cube to be Honored at BET Hip Hop Awards

While Kanye West might ultimately hear his name called the most during October's BET Hip Hop Awards because of all the nominations, it's Cali icon Ice Cube who's getting the royal treatment that night.
While Kanye West might ultimately hear his name called the most during October's BET Hip Hop Awards because of all the nominations, it's Cali icon Ice Cube who's getting the royal treatment that night.
Cube will be honored as the 2009 "I Am Hip Hop" Icon recipient. The award recognizes those who have made sizeable contributions to the world of hip. Cube becomes the fourth such honoree, joining the esteemed likes of Grandmaster Flash, KRS-ONE and Russell Simmons.
The October 10 show (airing on BET on October 27) will be hosted by comedian Mike Epps.
