By: hiphopdx.comPosted On: 09/06/2013 3:32 P

Kanye West has announced his "first solo tour in five years with Kendrick Lamar."

Today (September 6), Kanye West announced his "first solo tour in five years with Kendrick Lamar." The announcement was made on Kanye West's website and on West's Twitter page.

The announcement poster for the tour (which can be seen below) features the word "Yeezus." This is likely the tour name, though no official word has been made from West's camp regarding the tour's official title. Below the image, a message states that it is West's "first solo tour in five years with Kendrick Lamar." West toured with Jay Z last year in support of their project together, Watch the Throne.

Lamar is set to perform on several dates of the tour. A different "special guest" is scheduled to appear when Lamar is not slated to hit the stage. As of the announcement, Lamar is not set to perform in Las Vegas, Nevada, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brooklyn, New York, New York, New York or Tampa, Florida.

Tickets for many of the tour dates go on sale September 13.
In 2012, Lamar spoke about his competitive nature when talking about Kanye West.

"It's the competitive nature," Lamar said. "We can't forget that. We can do features with each other. We can rap with each other. But at the end of the day, you gotta want to be the best," he explained. "I'm definitely competitive with [Black Hippy]. I'm competitive with them. I'm competitive with Jay-Z. I'm competitive with Nas. I'm competitive with Kanye [West]. We're in the big leagues now. I can't be looking at them as big homies for the rest of my life."
