Chris Brown also likens himself to Prince, discusses growth since assaulting Rihanna and hints that "X" may be his last album.

Chris Brown, who is readying the release of his upcoming album, X, recently said that he lost his virginity at 8-years-old.

"It's different in the country," Brown says in his interview with theguardian.com. "By that point, we were already kind of like hot to trot. You know what I'm saying? Like, girls, we weren't afraid to talk to them. I wasn't afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it." 

During the interview, Brown also likens himself to Prince. 

"You know how Prince had a lot of girls back in the day?" Brown says. "Prince was, like, the guy. I'm just that, today. But most women won't have any complaints if they've been with me. They can't really complain. It's all good."

Chris Brown Says "Rihanna Incident" Has Helped Him Mature

Brown, who assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, also spoke about how that experience and his subsequent legal issues changed him, according to the theguardian.com.

"The Rihanna incident...was probably the biggest wake-up call for me," Brown says in the interview. "I had to stop acting like a little teenager, a crazy, wild young guy."

Brown continues in the interview, saying that he was never violent with women prior to the assault.

"You can talk with all my girls that I did mess with before, and it's never been a violent history," Brown says.

Still, Brown says he's learned from the experience.

"I learned from it," Brown says. "I wouldn't say it happened for a reason, but it was something to trigger my mind to be more of a mature adult. To handle myself in situations, don't throw tantrums, don't be a baby about it."

Chris Brown Denies Having Neck Tattoo Of Rihanna

During the interview, Brown is also asked about a tattoo on his neck. The tattoo has been criticized by some who feel it resembles Rihanna's bruised face after he assaulted her. 

"I really don't care," Brown says of the criticism he's received. "A tattoo's a tattoo. It's my body, my skin...My favorite line is, 'Fuck you.' I like giving the world a big fuck you. Every tattoo I have is a big fuck you. So it's just, like, this is just me, and I'm the guy who's going to be just the same guy at all times...You think the tattoo is Rihanna's face, but it's not...I've just cleared this up. This is not Rihanna's face. I just got a tat. Like I say, a tat is on my body, so it's personal. I liked how it looked, so I thought I'd get it done. It's all good."

Chris Brown Says Friends Act As "Guard Dogs" To Fend Off Paparazzi

During the interview, Chris Brown is also asked about how he manages with paparazzi often looking to photograph the singer. 

"We run 'em away from there," Brown says. "Yeah. I got a couple of guard dogs...Not literally dogs I'm talking about. Just homies. They handle it."

Those friends are ones he's grateful for, he says.

"They were there when nobody else was there, when I was at my lowest," Brown says. "The people that really cared, that's who I hold dearest. And I root for the underdog, so I'm around the guys that… well, my friends aren't the guys that society would label perfect. People kind of, like, look nervous when I'm going to walk in with all my friends. And I'm not even a rapper. I'm a singer."

Chris Brown Says X Could Be His Last Album

Brown has postponed X numerous times, but theguardian.com reports the album is slated for a November release. Brown spoke about the album, saying it has something for everyone.

"This album, creative-wise, is just musically sound, diverse, a lot of different genres attached themselves to the song, like, different fans," Brown says. "It doesn't have to be necessarily a song for one race, it's mostly for everybody. Just when you take those journeys through the X album, I mean, you start looking at certain songs, you'd be like, 'Oh, I get that, I can relate to this song' or, 'Oh, I like this song. This sounds good.' With this album I think it can just identify with any age group, with any race, with any culture."

In the interview, Brown also says he may never release another album. Instead, he says, he might focus on singles, due to the decline of album sales. 

"You can blame it on downloads," Brown says. "But the numbers are what they are. After this, maybe I'll release a single every few months, or release a song; you're still going to hear my music and videos."

Chris Brown also said he was retiring upon the release of Fortune, his 2012 release. 

"My last album that's coming out in two days," Brown said. "I just want to thank all my fans. It's dedicated to y'all. This one's for y'all, man. I appreciate everything."
