Nelly also says that he doesn't know why it's hard for female rappers to become successful.

Nelly featured Nicki Minaj on “Get Like Me,” a single from his recently released M.O. album.

The St. Louis rapper says that despite Nicki Minaj’s success, female rappers still face significant challenges.

“It is definitely harder for females in this business,” he said during an interview on “Chelsea Lately.” “It shouldn’t be, but it is. They have just as much talent, just as much creative ability as anybody else to make great music. So, I don’t know why it’s like that.”

"Miley's great," Nelly said in an interview with IN:DEMAND with Alex James, as per Perez Hilton. "She's a great talent. She's young and ambitious and wants to do it her way. When you're 20-years-old and you've been under a machine your whole life and been told what to do, when you get to a certain age you're like, 'I want to do it my way'…Whatever mistakes she makes, she's gonna have to deal with them. She understands that…I always ask, 'Who's she hurting?' She's just doing it her way. We've had a lot of people doing it their way."
