Lauryn Hill has announced two concerts in New York this month.

Lauryn Hill is slated to perform two shows in New York City at New York's Bowery Ballroom November 27, according to nj.com. The shows will be on the same day, with one scheduled for 6 pm and one at 10:30 pm, as per ticketmaster.com.

This year, Lauryn Hill has faced several legal issues and career changes.

In April, the Grammy Award-winning singer-rapper spoke about an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment in a letter to fans.

"It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes," Hill wrote. "Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music."

In the letter, Hill also spoke about her financial complications.

"Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything," she wrote. "I am one artist who finds value in openly discussing the dynamics within this industry that force artists to compromise or distort themselves and what they do, rather than allowing them to make the music that people need. There are volumes that could and will be said."

In July, Hill began a prison sentence for tax charges after not paying approximately $1 million in taxes, according to abcnews.com.

In October, Hill released the song "Consumerism" upon completing a prison term.
