The Pittsburgh native also discusses his upcoming "Blacc Hollywood" album on "SKEE Live."

Wiz Khalifa visited DJ Skee’s “SKEE Live” yesterday (November 19) and discussed his upcoming fifth studio album, Blacc Hollywood.

The Pittsburgh-native said the project will be a “hybrid” of his previous releases and that he is taking his time picking out records. He also explained the meaning behind the album title.

“I always make plays off of where I’m at in my life with my album titles,” Wiz Khalifa said to DJ Skee.

“The ‘Hollywood’ part is of course the success, the glitz, the glamour," he continued. "And the ‘Blacc’ is where we come from. Not like Pittsburgh the hood or nothing like that. But Pittsburgh, like party, drinking at a very young age, tearing stuff up, staying up too late. That’s the ‘Blacc’ part. It’s a lot of fun and it’s a lot of attitude involved.

“I don’t have really any points to prove on this one, except that I’m awesome,” Khalifa added.

Blacc Hollywood is slated to include guest features from Juicy J, The Weeknd and Adele. “Everybody is just people that I’m working with trying to find the best,” the “Roll Up” artist said. “I don’t really wanna go too big and out of the ordinary from what people know from me, but I definitely want to take it up to that point to where it’s like, ‘Wiz is going big right now.’”

Wiz Khalifa also explained how his collaboration with Adele originated.

“We seen each other at the Grammys and she ran up on Amber [Rose] and told her how beautiful she looked,” he said. “I think her people contacted some of my people when she found out that we were working on the album and sent some ideas through. So we were able to knock things out.”

Later in the show, DJ Skee surprised Wiz Khalifa by bringing out a costumed version of Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since the artist is a fan of the cartoon series.

“Just when I was a child, I always thought Ninja Turtles were awesome because they eat pizza, they did karate, they skateboarded,” Khalifa said. “Ninja Turtles are awesome. They do amazing things and when you’re a kid, you’re like, ‘Of course that’s what I wanna be when I grow up.’”

Though the album does not have an official release date, Blacc Hollywood is expected in 2014.

Previous guests on DJ Skee’s “SKEE Live” have included Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Too Short and RiFF RaFF. Snoop Dogg, Macklemore and Hopsin are scheduled to appear in upcoming episodes.
