Rihanna, Robinson Cano and more pitch in to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Widely-known songstress/pop star Rihanna is using her fame to help promote UNICEF’s new “There for the Philippines” campaign.

According to AllHipHop, the relief effort is slated to benefit families in need after the effects of Typhoon Haiyan. Her recent public endorsement was also accompanied by a $100,000 donation to UNICEF.

“Emergencies make headlines, but the recovery continues long after the news cameras leave,” Rihanna said in a statement. “Having been a fan and supporter of UNICEF’s work over the years, I am honored to join them in helping children who have been impacted by Typhoon Haiyan. More than five million kids in the Philippines need our help. UNICEF is there for them today, and for the long road ahead, and so am I.”

Rihanna was joined by a few other celebrities, some of which are apart of Roc Nation. Robinson Cano and Tulsa Shock star Skylar Diggins made financial contributions. Actress/singer Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical fame is also participating in the campaign.

Rapper Game recently donated $10,000 to Typhoon Relief effort in the Philippines. He partnered with actor/professional poker player Dan Bilzerian as apart of his "The Robin Hood Project," to shell out relief.

“There for the Philippines” is both a fundraising and social awareness campaign put on by UNICEF. The organization is asking people to donate funds or take to social media in support. They're asking for those interested to change their Facebook profile picture and tweet messages of support.
