Game and Miguel discuss Kendrick Lamar's seven Grammy nominations.
Kendrick Lamar's seven Grammy nominations impressed fellow Compton, California rapper Game.
"Man I'm so proud of that dude," Game says, as per mtv.com. "That's my little homie. It's just good to see him getting his just do. He deserves everything he's getting. Congrats to Kendrick for everything, it's beautiful. And welcome to the Million Dollar Club."
On Friday (December 6), Kendrick Lamar received seven bids for his major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city. They include nominations for Album of the Year and Best New Artist.
Los Angeles native Miguel also praised Kendrick Lamar.
"Kendrick is not following in anyone's footsteps," Miguel said to mtvnews.com after the Grammy nominations were announced. "He's on his own path and he's killing it, as you can see. I think I just appreciate how he told his story. He really let people get to know him through his music and that's why he's winning. There's an authenticity and that's what I appreciate most from him."
