J Dilla's mother, Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey, and Talib Kweli announce "NY Loves Dilla" tribute show.

Talib Kweli is set to headline NY Loves Dilla, a dedication concert in the memory of J Dilla, scheduled to take place March 23 at Webster Hall, according to HipHopWired.

Dilla's mother, Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey, is set to host the show. YC the Cynic, Phony Ppl and DJ Parler are also slated to perform. 

Talib Kweli released Gravitas in 2013, a project which features a beat produced by J Dilla. This was referenced in HipHopDX's review of Gravitas. 

"The spirit of J. Dilla is kept alive on the album's closer 'Colors of You,' a mild concession to the rigid-minded audience looking to keep [Talib Kweli] boxed into a preexistent sound," HipHopDX said at the time. "With this release, Kweli has placed himself in a fortunate position where we can rest assured his next moves will be completely self-determined regardless of critical skepticism."
