Jeezy's Street Dreamz Foundation donates $1 million to the Jay Morrison Academy.

Atlanta rapper Jeezy spoke briefly on his recent arrest while appearing on Hot 107.9 to promote his newly-released album, Seen It All: The Autobiography.

In regards to being detained, Jeezy revealed that he and the members of his crew should not have been arrested in the first place. He also stated that he could have bailed out early on, but chose not to leave those he was detained with until they could all be bailed out.

“I don’t really want to get into it cause they still investigating, but I will tell you this though,” Jeezy said. “When the smoke clears and everything’s said and done, man I can promise you and I can assure you that me and my whole crew we gon’ be good. And we shouldn’t have been detained in the first place…I’m a real one, man. It’s like this, these folks work hard on this tour with me. You know what I’m saying? And every day they was going hard for me…I just couldn’t see me getting out. Because I could have bailed out and left them in there like that. So, my whole state of mind was ‘Look man.’ I even told my bail bondsman ‘Man, until everybody’s able to get a bail then we gonna just sit here. And when I say ‘we’ I meant ‘us.’ I’m not going nowhere until we all can bail out.’”

During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Jeezy spoke in-depth about the arrest and the members of his crew who were also detained. Among those arrested were a cameraman and a 50-year-old, female bus driver.

“They detained my bus driver—two of my bus drivers, one was a 50-something-year old lady—my cameraman,” he said during his interview with The Breakfast Club. “I’m just such a real person, I know we was there to the right. I just couldn’t leave’em in there. When I stepped in the door I had bailsman right there to get me out. I just made it clear, when I leave, we leaving together. Point blank. Period.”

In addition to his various radio interviews this week, Jeezy also took time to give back. In an Instagram post added to his profile yesterday (September 2), the Southern wordsmith is pictured holding a check worth $1 million made on behalf of his Street Dreamz Foundation.

The picture included the following caption: “Street Dreamz Foundation is happy to announce that I'll be giving away 1 Million Dollar "Another Way Out" scholarship. Visit Jeezyscholarahip.com”
