Kid Ink Calls 50 Cent's First Pitch "Pretty Terrible," Discusses Throwing Pitch For Los Angeles Dodgers

"It was pretty terrible," Kid Ink says of 50 Cent's first pitch. "I don't know, man. I can't explain to you what happened."

Kid Ink, who threw out the first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game in May, says that 50 Cent, who threw out a widely mocked first pitch at a New York Mets game also in May, did not deliver on his pitching attempt.

“It was pretty terrible,” Kid Ink says during an interview with Ride Or DieTV. "I don’t know, man. I can’t explain to you what happened. For me, luckily I grew up and was into sports and really had some type of arm already to throw. I had a little practice before. They still let you practice before so you can get the vibe.”

50 Cent’s pitch earned the rapper a 15-week run as ESPN Sports Center's "Worst Of The Worst," part of the show's Not Top 10 segment. The streak ended September 19.

As for his own pitch at Dodger stadium, Kid Ink said that he wasn’t under too much pressure.

“It wasn’t as crazy as I thought it was going to be, but I had to think about all the people before and all the females,” he says. "I had to be dedicated to not messing up.

"I took the easy route of not throwing a pitch too fast,” he continues. "I went straight for the straight pitch instead of super-fast.”
