CyHi The Prynce says Kanye West has taken him under his wing.
CyHi The Prynce says he has several projects set to follow his Black Hystori Project mixtape, which was released Monday (February 24). During an interview with MTV, CyHi discussed Kanye West's involvement in his upcoming work.
"'Ye has really taken my under his wing this year 'cause I guess he sees a lot of similarities between me and him," CyHi says. "He likes a lot of my music. He just wants me to structure it better. I didn't know that Kanye was gonna like me...I wasn't prepared for somebody of his magnitude...Now that I done caught up and learned what I need to learn from him and I think he's seeing the potential that I have, as well, we've got a lot of stuff coming out this year."
CyHi says that he plans to release a couple of more mixtapes and an album, but he also said he plans on reviving the G.O.O.D. Friday series that Kanye West made popular in 2010 when he released new songs every Friday until the release of his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
"Yeah, 'cause I'm doing it, I'm making sure it's comin' back," CyHi says of the G.O.O.D. Music series in the MTV interview. "Now, he's my partner long enough to where I can say, 'Ye, we doin' this, we doin' this and we doin' this.' That's it. I want to motivate him to that, too."
