Lil Debbie Issues Iggy Azalea Music Challenge

By: hiphopdx.comPosted On: 09/03/2014 12:46 P

"I want to see you put out one hit song that has no has nobody at all on it," Lil Debbie says to Iggy Azalea, "not any other artist. None."

Lil Debbie says she would like to hear something different from Iggy Azalea, whose chart-topping singles “Fancy” and “Black Widow” feature Charli XCX and Rita Ora, respectively.

“I would like to see from Iggy, as another female White artist, if that’s what we’re going to say that we are, I want to see you put out one hit song that has no has nobody at all on it, not any other artist,” Lil Debbie says during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX that premiered in the DX Daily today (September 2). "None. Not Rita Ora. Not Charli [XCX]. Nobody. Not T.I. Not DJ Mustard. Not nobody. I want you to put one hit out, catchy song. That’s it. I just want you to put on. You’re right under Nicki Minaj so put on for us, make a hit song that has nobody else on it ‘cause all I’ve seen so far is Rita Ora, Charli XCX. That’s all that I’ve heard on the radio."

In March, Lil Debbie said that she reached out to Iggy Azalea early in her career.

“I reached out to Iggy Azalea before she blew up and the bitch acted like she was too good for me,” Lil Debbie said at the time during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “That sucks. I’ve never felt discriminated until I moved to [Los Angeles] and people are like, ‘You’re from The Bay? Ugh.’ And then working with Kreayshawn and then having what happened to Kreayshawn and V-Nasty, it just piles on. I definitely feel like I’ve been blacklisted in the industry. I feel like people don’t really want to work with me or even acknowledge my presence. That’s fine because my time is gonna come. It’s all good.”
