Tiny Defends Iggy Azalea's Atlanta Accent, Debunks Alleged Nicki Minaj & Iggy Feud

Tiny: "It's dope that she can sound so Southern and be from a whole 'nother country."

Tiny, who says her husband T.I. found Iggy Azalea “on the Internet,” recently discussed her perspective on Iggy’s music and accent.

"I talked to her a lot and she has a really thick Australian accent, of course, because she’s from Australia, but when I heard her rap, she sound like she’s from Atlanta,” Tiny says in an interview with VladTV. "I’m like, ‘You sound like you from Bankhead! How does this work?’ But that’s just talent to me. She really can change her tone when she’s rapping. But when she’s talking, she’s back Australian again. So, she’s a dope artist to me, though.

"I guess she said she listened to a lot of Southern Rap growing up,” Tiny adds. “I guess that’s where she picked up on it. I think that if she did rap with an Australian accent, it would be normal for an Australian person to rap like an Australian, but I just think it’s dope that she can sound so Southern…and be from a whole ‘nother country."

Tiny Discusses Alleged Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea Feud

Although some have said there is a feud between Nicki and Iggy, Tiny says she hasn't seen the animosity.

“They looked like they is cool and friendly,” she says. “I think Nicki is dope. I think Iggy is dope. I think there’s room for both of them. Maybe they should do a song together.”

Despite debunking the alleged feud, Tiny says she understands why some women who rap are at odds.

"Female rappers are feuding because it’s only me and you," she explains. "It’s a competition thing."

Tiny Says Lil' Kim, Foxy Brown & Trina Won Due To Sexual Images

Tiny adds that women mainly win in Rap when their music is sexualized.

"When they come sexually, they win because that’s something women and men relate to from a woman," she says. "Women relate to it because we want to be sexy and we do sexy shit and that’s how we feel about ourselves. Men can relate to it because they like whatever you’re advertising and whatever you’re saying because it’s sexual and it’s a turn on. Somehow, Nicki is one that is kind of turning it around and been able to really spit bars and men listen to her. They like her look, though. It’s all in the sexual game, once again. Lil’ Kim had her run and it was all a sexual game. Foxy Brown did a little bit of both, too. Trina. I like all of them. All of these rappers I just named, all of them has something that I have liked about them at one point and maybe still do."
