Danny Brown says he needs to be respected, reveals plans for his next studio album.

While speaking to the Huffington Post prior to his performance at An Evening With Danny Brown Presented By Sonos And Pandora earlier this month, Detroit, Michigan rapper Danny Brown addressed his next studio album and revealed that despite a handful of past releases, he feels he doesn’t receive the respect he deserves.

Brown also dubbed himself “the best rapper ever” and declared that he needs to be respected.

"I still don't feel like I have the respect I deserve. I'm the best rapper ever and I need to be respected," Danny Brown said.

In regards to his next studio album, the Motor City rapper says he plans on releasing a “shorter,” more compact project in order to release an album that’s close to perfection.

"It's probably going to be a shorter release than normal because I'm trying to glance perfection with this one," he said. "With previous projects I had to branch out and show my range. But with this one, I feel like people know what I can do and what I'm capable of, so now it's just time for me to show that I can make perfect."

With his next studio album, Brown says he’s also out to prove that he’s still one of “the most witty” and “the most unpredictable” artists around.

"I just got to back up on this next album, and consistently prove that I'm always the most witty, the most unpredictable. I got the best stories, the illest punchlines, the hottest interviews," the rapper said.

Danny Brown’s last studio album, Old was released in October of last year and received a 4-star rating from HipHopDX. The album is described as one that is “sure to shock and awe timid onlookers.”
