West lands on the renowned magazine for the second time in his career.
Kanye West has been named one of the most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine.
West also appears on one of seven covers for the publication's April/May 2015 issue. Kanye bears a blank stare on the cover and appears to be robed in a black T-shirt.
Within the magazine, West is profiled by entrepreneur - Tesla CEO Elon Musk under the headline "Boundary Breaker."
"Every time I crash the Internet, it's like this little drop of truth," West says in a promo visual for the "Time 100." "Every time I say something that is extremely truthful out loud, it literally breaks the Internet. So, what are we getting all of the rest of the time?
"I don't care about having a legacy or being remembered," he continues.
As for competing with rappers or other up-and-coming designers, West says he's not focused on them or his own personal legacy. Instead, he questions society's shallow, selfish motives.
"I'm not in a competition with anyone," he says. "What makes us be so selfish, prideful? What makes us not want to help the next man? What makes us be so focused on personal legacy, as opposed to an entire legacy of a race? When humanity is gone, what do we give to this little planet that we're on... Removing pride. Our focus needs to be less about our legacy or how we're going to control each other, but more how can we give to each other."
West lands on the renowned magazine for the second time in his career. Nearly 10 years ago, Kanye covered TIME Magazine as he was prepping for the release of his second studio album, Late Registration.
Kim Kardashian West, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels are also featured on this year's "100 Most Influential People" list.
